VRPay

Terms of service

Last updated: [DATE]

These terms will set out the agreement between you and VRPay: what the service does, what is expected of you, and how liability and termination work.

[DRAFT STRUCTURE — NOT A POLICY] This page is scaffolding: the headings below are the sections a policy of this kind needs, and each one describes what belongs in it. None of it is legal text and none of it has been reviewed by a lawyer. It must be replaced with drafted, jurisdiction-specific wording before VRPay is offered to the public.
  1. 01About these terms

Identify the contracting entity, state that using the service accepts these terms, and explain how changes are notified and when they take effect.

  2. 02Eligibility

Minimum age, jurisdictions served, and the categories of person or business that cannot be onboarded — including sanctions screening and restricted-country lists.

  3. 03Accounts and verification

How accounts are opened, the identity checks required, your obligation to keep credentials secure and information current, and the circumstances in which verification must be repeated.

  4. 04Acceptable use

Prohibited activity, including unlawful payments, circumventing sanctions, and prohibited business categories. State the consequences of breach.

  5. 05Fees and payments

How fees are set and disclosed, when they are charged, how the exchange rate and FX fee are determined, and how changes to pricing are notified in advance.

  6. 06Liability

What VRPay is and is not responsible for, the cap on liability, and the losses excluded — drafted so it does not attempt to exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for consumers.

  7. 07Suspension and termination

Grounds on which an account may be frozen or closed by either side, notice periods, and what happens to any remaining balance.

  8. 08Governing law and disputes

Governing law, jurisdiction, the internal complaints procedure, and the alternative dispute resolution or ombudsman scheme available to customers.
